General Dentistry
The ideal form of dentistry is preventative. Regular visits to the dentist, along with good home care, are recommended to ensure good oral hygiene. Regular visits can also detect oral health problems long before the onset of symptoms of serious dental problems, which could require costly treatment.
Dental Hygienist
Our Hygienists carry out scale and polish treatments to ensure teeth are thoroughly cleaned, and also apply preventative materials to the teeth and gums, and advise on diet and your home care regime. They also carry out detailed and precise treatments to restore oral health for patients suffering from gum disease.
Root Canals
Root fillings or Root canal treatments are needed when a large cavity in a tooth reaches the nerve chamber, or in some cases when a tooth breaks. Root filling involves removing bacteria and damaged or dead nerves from inside the tooth and then cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, before filling to seal them.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns can be used to cover and protect damaged or weak teeth. They can also improve the appearance of misshapen or discoloured teeth. They are essentially metal or porcelain sleeves which fit over the tooth. Bridges replace one or more missing teeth, by fixing the replacement teeth to the surface of the natural teeth each side of the gap – to bridge the gap.
Veneers
Veneers can make your teeth look natural and healthy, improving their colour, shape and position. They can hide stained, chipped, misshapen or crooked teeth, or cover gaps in teeth where orthodontic treatment may not be suitable. A veneer is a thin, custom-made moulding that is used to cover the front surface of a tooth, usually made from porcelain.
Tooth Whitening
Do you want a whiter, brighter smile? Tooth whitening can lighten stained or yellow teeth which have discoloured with time and can give you an extra sparkle and more youthful looking smile.
NHS Patients
When you first visit our practice, we will check your teeth and mouth; measurements of gum health will be made and your mouth will be screened for oral cancer and, if necessary, take x-rays. We will also take a detailed medical & dental history.
After listening to your concerns and discussing treatment options we will create a personal treatment plan based on the information from this visit. At your next visit we will clarify any questions you may have about the treatment plan and its outcomes before starting your treatment.

Children's Dentistry
We go out of our way to make children’s dentistry as enjoyable, fun and pain-free as possible. We believe in encouraging good habits early on and take a preventative approach to treatment.
We like to see children as young as possible to encourage good brushing and diet. We are a family practice and enjoy treating whole families some of whom spread over four generations.
